In order to make the Ohio Department of Health's January 1,2007 Electronic Death Certificate Filing transition as smooth as possible and better serve our members, PLEASE NOTE the following information:
The Ohio Department of Health is providing a Help Desk to answer your calls. Should all lines be busy, you will receive a message and your call will be answered in the order in which it was received by the next available help desk representative. This Help Desk was created to meet the needs of questions and concerns of the Electronic Filing starting Monday morning, January 1,2007.
OFDA was told this Help Desk service will be open:
Saturday, December 30, 2006 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Monday, January 1,2007 from 10:OO AM - 3:00 PM.
Normal Hours: Monday -Friday from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

In addition, all 88 county registrars have received retraining within this past week and are up to date on the Ohio Department of Health's procedures.
** ODH recommends calling early morning or late afternoon to avoid a lengthy wait.
